Using various forms of free weights during resistance training offers the opportunity to learn about how your body moves and what patterns your body exhibits. These patterns are known as kinetic chain patterns and are often masked by equipment that you sit on in gyms.

You have a choice of weight-bearing or non-weight-bearing resistance training exercise. Both of these choices are non-impact modalities; therefore, your joints are protected from unnecessary overuse that can lead to repetitive stress injuries.

Through training that uses free weights, you will learn how to activate your core, and stabilize your spine.

Cardiovascular Training

Cardiorespiratory training is crucial due to the importance of strengthening the heart muscle fiber, and improving blood circulation throughout the entire body. The cardiac tissue is responsible for providing every cell in the body with the oxygen needed to function effectively. Without oxygen, microscopic cells and tissues break down.
